Mitsubishi Electric and Klimat-Fer join forces to strengthen the market for air-conditioning systems in European rail transport

Starting from April 2014, this operation will further strengthen the company’s market position, together with its sales performance, production and after sales service in Europe.

The European market for air-conditioning systems for rail transport is the largest in the world, with growth prospects of 2 to 3% per year.

Furthermore, Europe is also home to the production sites of some of the world’s largest constructors of locomotives and train carriages.

Klimat-Fer has been present on the Italian market for over 50 years and boasts a leading position in the sector for air-conditioning for trains, thanks to its cutting-edge technology and the reliability of its products.

Mitsubishi Electric’s experience and its advanced technological know-how will leverage Klimat-Fer’s innovation and sales activities, allowing the company to both expand its organisation in Europe and increase its global business in the transport industry.
